Usually, in order to eliminate dental plaque, we go to a dentist. However, believe it or not, there are numerous other alternative methods for plaque removal that we can do at the comfort of our own homes.

Below, we’ve made a list comprised of the most effective plaque-removing methods.

How to Remove Plaque at Home

Proper brushing

You may brush your teeth regularly; however, improper brushing is a waste of time. Proper brushing means holding the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle against the gum line and then pointing it upward or toward the nose while cleaning the upper teeth. When brushing the lower teeth, the toothbrush needs to be pointed downward or toward the chin. This enables one to clean the gum line which a lot of people miss.

Baking soda

Put a bit of baking soda on a damp toothbrush and scrub the teeth gently with it to remove plaque.

Apple cider vinegar

Soak a toothbrush in vinegar and then brush the teeth with it as well as the rest of the mouth cavity.

Sunflower and linden

Mix 4 tbsp of sunflower seeds and 4 tbsp of linden flower and then cook the mixture on low heat for 30 minutes. Then, you can use the mixture as toothpaste.
