Lavender Lemonade – Summer Refreshment which Soothes Headaches
Lavender Lemonade is one of the most natural medicines against headache that brings the body into balance. Besides being great summer refreshment, this drink relaxes the senses.
The flowers of lavender are rich in essential oils that containing over 150 active ingredients. These great act against various bacteria, inflammation, depression, microorganisms, and moreover, it cleanses the body, reduce high blood pressure and have analgesic and sedative properties.
Numerous studies have proven that the beneficial effects of essential oil of lavender helps in situations of high stress, to the extent that in some world-renowned hospital centers, aromatherapy with lavender is accepted therapy in pre-operation period of the patients.
- ¼ cup dried lavender flowers (preferably organic) or essential oil of lavender
- 6 peeled and squeezed lemons
- One teaspoon honey
- 5 cups water
Place half of the water to boil, then remove it from the stove. In water, add honey and lavender and let it soaked for 20 minutes. Then strain the liquid and place in a large bowl.
Add the lemon juice, the remaining water and stir well. Allow to cool, then consume the freshly prepared homemade lemonade.
